From the recording Completely Different
This song tells the story about how Jens and I met in a blues club a long time ago. I was introduced to him by a mutual friend like "This is Jens, whom I've been telling you about" and I said "Jeeens, so nice to finally meet you!". In that same moment somebody grabbed me by the shoulders, turned me around and hugged me, thanking me for the concert I'd just played with my blues band. I forgot about Jens right there and then. Luckily, we met on two other occasions, the third one being the ONE!

I almost lost you after the concert in that blues club, oh
Somebody turned me around
Right after we said hello
And I forgot about you right there and then
I could have missed you
I could have missed out on you
Next time I saw you B.B sang the blues at a concert in Cologne
You stood so so close, humming in my ear, breathing on my skin though respectfully distanced.
I had goosebumps…
You know I had goosebumps…
Yours were the most beautiful eyes that I’d ever seen
Yours were the most beautiful eyes that I’d ever seen
I could have missed out on a life with you entirely
If fate hadn’t wanted differently
I would have missed you for the rest of my life
If fate hadn’t let you cross my path a third time
Cause you were one for me
You were the one for me
Yours were the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen
Yours were the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen
You said that I was homesick
You’d heard it in my voice
It’s like you saw right through me
It’s like you cared for me like nobody’d done before
It was probably that moment
That hooked me for the rest of my life
Yours were the most beautiful eyes
I’ve ever seen
